Assistant Manager - Ecommerce Sales

Role Title         -    Assistant Manager – Ecommerce Growth & Performance

Reporting To   -    Sr. Vice President Sales, Product & Marketing, PRHI

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


Drive online sales growth for our Early Learning Publishing and Penguin Select Classics Program across Amazon & other Ecommerce platforms, and Quick-commerce platforms (BlinkIt, Zepto etc.). Also lead strategies to boost visibility, conversion, and revenue in India and global marketplaces.

 

STAKEHOLDERS FOR THE ROLE


INTERNAL : Sales & Product, Marketing, Penguin Select    

EXTERNAL : Ecommerce Platforms : Amazon, Blinkit, etc.

 

ROLE CONTRIBUTION AREAS 

  • Lead category growth and achieve sales targets across major e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
  • Optimize listings with SEO, keywords, A+ content, and visuals.
  • Plan and manage AMS and Ads to drive ROI.
  • Build presence on emerging platforms (BlinkIt, etc.) with tailored promotions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and influencer teams for cross-platform visibility.
  • Track performance metrics and present actionable insights.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS


Core Competencies

  • E-Commerce Expertise: Hands-on with Amazon Seller/Vendor Central and AMS.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong grasp of sales dashboards and data tools
  • Ability to position books effectively through visuals and messaging.
  • Skilled in cross-team coordination and partner negotiations

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Business/Marketing preferred.
  • 4–6 years in e-commerce sales/marketing (publishing, FMCG, or consumer products).
  • Proven success managing Amazon & online accounts.
  • Passion for books and digital commerce
