Job Description
In the Backoffice IT Department, you will play a key role in launching and consolidating Penguin Random House’s new Purchasing Department. You will work directly with the head of the area, managing suppliers, processing orders, and optimizing procurement processes.
Your role will be to ensure that all administrative operations related to purchasing are carried out efficiently, orderly, and in accordance with internal procedures, contributing to a smooth and professional relationship with our suppliers. We are looking for someone with experience in dynamic environments, strong communication skills, and SAP proficiency, who wants to be involved in a project with growth potential and continuous improvement.
What will your challenges be?

Manage the full purchasing cycle: requests, orders, delivery tracking, and invoice control.

Assist in the search, evaluation, and approval of suppliers.

Negotiate prices, terms, and commercial conditions together with the Purchasing Manager.

Register and keep all information up to date in SAP (orders, contracts, suppliers, etc.).

Provide administrative support in preparing reports, comparisons, and cost analyses.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper management of procurement.

Resolve supplier issues and coordinate order logistics when necessary.
What are we looking for?
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative position within the purchasing or procurement area.

Advanced knowledge of SAP.

Strong Excel and office software skills.

Communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.

Organizational skills, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset.

Desirable: Experience in industrial or service sectors.
