We are looking for a dynamic, tactical, and collaborative Manager, Digital Sales & Merchandising to join our Sales, Marketing, and Publicity team.

Your contribution to the story:
At Penguin Random House Canada, our Online and Digital sales team is focused on maximizing discoverability and revenue for our full catalogue of titles. We stay close to market trends and pride ourselves on being agile and responsive.
As part of this team, the Manager, Digital Sales & Merchandising will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising and promotional strategies across our digital retail accounts, including Audible, Spotify, Kobo, and Apple. You will play a key role in optimizing discoverability and driving digital sales performance across all Penguin Random House titles and imprints.
Reporting to the Group Director, In-Market and Digital Sales, you will work within the Online & Digital Sales team to optimize merchandising and promotional opportunities, manage key account relationships, and bring a growth mindset to all that you do.
What you’ll do:

Build and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with major digital accounts, including Spotify, Audible, Kobo, and Apple.

Present our titles to digital retailers, highlighting merchandising opportunities and curating the best possible promotional opportunities across our full catalogue.

Maximize visibility and responsiveness across digital accounts by identifying and surfacing high-impact promotional opportunities.

Provide feedback from digital accounts to internal teams to inform broader sales and marketing strategies.
Experience and knowledge you’ll bring (qualifications):

Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, ideally with exposure to digital media.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

A collaborative, relationship-oriented mindset with a passion for customer service.

An ability to harness data to identify growth opportunities and guide decision-making.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools.

A quick learner with an aptitude to pick up new platforms such as Teams, Asana, and Power BI.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

An inclusive approach, supported by cultural competency and a proven ability to collaborate with people from across a wide range of diverse backgrounds.

Enhanced knowledge, awareness, and experience with the culture and history of any community that has faced marginalization is considered a plus.
