We are looking for an Audio Engineer to work across our established audiobook program. You will be responsible for the production of audiobooks, from recording to post-production. The role will work closely with the Lead Audio Engineer and wider Audio team, to create best-in-class audiobooks. This is a full-time position based in North Sydney.
What you will do (role specific):
- Record and edit a wide variety of audiobooks
- Conduct pickups sessions, post-production processing, quality control checks and file management
- Be involved in technical and creative aspects of sound design, composition and problem-solving with the Audio team
- Assist Audio Producer with research, casting and project management
- Assist other teams in creation of ads, podcasts and other digital media
What you will bring:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a professional studio recording and/or post-production environment (prior experience with audiobooks/long form audio will be highly regarded)
- High level of proficiency with studio recording equipment, Reaper and another DAW
- Up to date with the latest developments in recording technology
- Exceptional organisational skills and a track record of turning around audio on a tight deadline
- A love and knowledge of books/audiobooks
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team
- Excellent communication skills
