Marketing and Publicity Campaign Manager - Young Readers

We have an exciting opportunity in our Auckland team for a talented Marketing and Publicity Campaign Manager to join the team to create and manage promotional strategies that connect Penguin Random House children’s and young adult books with readers (and the people who buy for and educate them) across evolving platforms, channels and networks, to drive sales growth.

 

The successful candidate will ensure effective marketing and publicity activities for campaigns including guiding social media content, web strategies and email newsletters; overseeing the design, production, delivery and design of promotional collateral; developing and implementing innovative publicity campaigns for authors across all media platforms, using a broad range of communication including press releases, phone pitching, and content marketing.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar marketing and/or publicity role, preferably in the Arts sector
  • Willingness to manage a diverse range of publicity and marketing campaigns and be enthusiastic about tracking sales and celebrating successes
  • A 'can do' attitude paired with a curiosity for trying new ways of doing things
  • A demonstrable flair for creative thinking and persuasive copywriting
  • An agile approach to campaign planning, an ability to proactively address challenges, identify solutions and deliver on budget
  • Highly-developed attention to detail coupled with a high level of accuracy
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A growth mindset
  • A full drivers licence
  • A passion for children’s and young adult books

 

This is a full-time role based in our Takapuna office. There will be occasional evening and weekend work, and very occasional travel outside Auckland.
