Around 120 employees work across two locations in Switzerland to make invoice-based purchasing with flexible installment payments even simpler and safer for Swiss retailers. As a leading Swiss provider, we are a key partner for the retail sector, combining credit checks, fraud prevention, invoicing, and pre-financing into a comprehensive end‑to‑end solution.
In addition to our straightforward invoice payment solutions—both online and in‑store—we offer private customers flexible cash loans. We also issue a variety of payment cards. Our strength lies in managing complex projects where multiple sales channels and payment methods interact seamlessly. We work with nearly all major brick‑and‑mortar and online retailers in Switzerland, actively shaping the future of payments.

Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

As part of the Cloud & Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in designing, migrating, and operating cloud-based platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will contribute directly to modernizing MF Group’s infrastructure, improving platform reliability, and enabling scalable, secure cloud environments that support critical business systems. Drive the adoption, optimization, and operation of Azure cloud solutions, with a strong focus on application and database migrations, automation, and high availability of production systems.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support and lead application and database migrations to Microsoft Azure (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Design, deploy, and operate containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Automate cloud infrastructure and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Monitor, optimize, and continuously improve cloud platforms to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Support observability and monitoring concepts to ensure stable and predictable platform operations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure standards, best practices, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Several years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Platform Engineer, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong technical expertise in Azure services, AKS, database migrations, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise-grade cloud platforms in production environments.
  • Familiarity with security, data protection, and compliance requirements (e.g. PII / GDPR) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
