Overall Purpose of the Role
The Senior Content Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading the receipt, management and operational processing of materials, associated elements and metadata from a wide range of suppliers internally and externally. This role requires a high level of expertise in media workflows, supplier management and quality assurance to ensure that content is processed efficiently, meets company specifications and is ready for onward delivery. As a senior member of the Content Operations team this role will be responsible for: overseeing complex workflows, ingest, storage, editing and final delivery.
The role will involve ensuring multiple internal software tracking and material management systems are populated with relevant data and suppliers can deliver files. Identifying process efficiencies and recommending improvements to enhance content delivery speed and accuracy. This role requires daily global liaison with multiple teams across the business and external entities. They are responsible for troubleshooting any material or workflow challenges. The role may also be called upon to provide mentorship and support to junior coordinators and ensuring best practices are followed across the team.
Main Objectives of the Role
• Working within Media Supply Chain architecture to process materials.
• Oversee metadata management and ensure all tracking systems remain accurate and up to date.
• Ensuring materials are delivered to contract and spec and exceptions managed appropriately
• Manage and book edits with post houses and managing timelines for these
• Lead troubleshooting efforts, identifying and resolving late-running files or workflow bottlenecks
• Highlighting any legacy issues in advance and managing transfer of catalogue delivery schedules alongside the MAM team.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external content suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and content flow.
• Oversee supplier performance, ensuring all partners meet agreed deadlines and quality expectations.
• Ad hoc tasks to co-ordinate material support for campaigns, launches and colleague cover.
• Act as an escalation point for the content operations team on all day to day tasks and deliveries.
• Prioritising critical deliveries as needed with an understanding that there may be some out of office hours in order to resolve issues to meet launch/broadcast deadlines.
Knowledge and Skills
• 3+ years of experience in the Media Industry- particularly in media operations
• Advanced knowledge of Media Supply Chain systems, metadata management, and content tracking tools.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
• Experience in workflow optimisation and process improvement, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Understanding of post-production, localisation, and media asset management workflows.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Flexibility and adaptability, able to navigate shifting priorities and project demands.
• Foreign language skills are an advantage.
