About The Role:

Senior Comms Exec to join Fremantle’s Global PR team who are responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Global Comms across our entertainment, factual and scripted. Key to this role will be building strong relationships with Fremantle executives, producers and broadcasters.

You are creatively curious, looking for inspiration and learnings from across the industry. You understand the demands of the B2B side of the content industry and trade media but are able to think in a more B2C way. Being a passionate consumer of content – across multiple genres is key, as is having great cultural insights and awareness of Global trends.


Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Creation and co-ordination of Global press kits including asset management and approval of materials
  • Oversee media requests for talent, ascertaining the validity and relevance of the request, and making a decision as to whether to proceed with the request or not
  • Work in partnership with marketing team to act as brand guardian for Global shows across scripted, non-scripted and entertainment
  • Management of key Fremantle brand profiles on a global scale alongside broadcast partners in multiple territories
  • Handle reactive press enquiries in the appropriate manner and liaise with wider comms team to ascertain background and drafts reactive briefing material, referring up when necessary
  • Work with comms team and marketing to build, create and shape awards strategy
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with journalists and other relevant parties and ensure speedy, clear and accurate responses to all media enquiries
  • Prepare written materials for promotional purposes, including press releases and news articles
  • Track and manage deadlines for key global markets
  • Oversee efficient tracking of FM’s global presence within key trade and national forward feature opportunities
  • Regularly evaluate media activity and feeds back to Comms team and to relevant senior execs on the success of and learnings from campaigns
  • Works with internal comms to feed in positive news stories about the Global businesses
  • Collating press reviews and coverage


Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Television content experience essential – entertainment/formats programming expertise preferred
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent communicator, relationship builder and natural diplomat
  • Strong organisational and admin skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills – able to write dynamic and precise copy without errors
  • Proactive operator with the ability to be forward thinking, work out solutions and next steps and able to deputise when called upon
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Experience of analysing, reporting on the impact of PR
  • Computer literacy – MS Office (including PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, FTP systems
