Communications Assistant - Fremantle

Role: Communications Assistant

Reports to:  Senior Manager - Corporate/Internal/Global PR

Location: Stephen Street, London (currently working from home)


About The Role:

Fremantle’s Global PR team are responsible for Corporate, Internal and Trade comms, including the day-to-day delivery of news stories for our entertainment, factual and scripted content slate. 


As a Comms Assistant your role will include co-ordinating comms assets including - planning documents, media lists and editorial calendars. You will also be responsible for collating press coverage, updating presentations and content creation/draft writing (e.g. press releases, etc.); liaising with journalists and our Global teams.


This is a great, busy and varied role for someone with the right attitude who is looking to make a career in communications. The right candidate will be proactive, creative and digitally savvy. Ideally you will have already worked in a busy press office or have some experience within the TV industry, but this is not essential - key to this role will be passion for content, a hunger to learn and build strong relationships with the team and our partners. 


Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal reporting and comms trackers for key stakeholders
  • Writing and drafting copy for different audiences (internal/ external)
  • Track and manage deadlines for key global markets and slate launches
  • Create compelling content for digital media platforms and internal channels
  • Collate press coverage
  • Creation and co-ordination of press materials including asset management and approval of materials
  • Proof-reading corporate press materials and presentations
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with journalists and other relevant parties and ensure speedy, clear and accurate responses to all media enquiries
  • Keeping track of press clips for new show launches
  • Interacting with internal teams, clients and partners (producers, talent, PR agencies, etc.) across various aspects of the business to organise meetings, share and gather information, and represent FM positively as a member of the global communications team (internally and externally)
  • Assisting team with researching and managing editorial calendars; monitoring and flagging deadlines
  • Researching and gathering assets to support PR pitches including sales reports, brand information and relevant images
  • Coordinating festival selection and awards entry forms
  • Assisting with the updating of press lists
  • Creating bespoke press lists from databases
  • General administrative support to the PR team – including scheduling of meetings, co-ordinating travel arrangements, raising POs
