We distribute our content across all channels, from linear broadcast, to global streamers, to social platforms, and on our own collection of 20+ FAST channels.

 

The Preditor is responsible for hands-on creative production of on-air and social promos and trailers, supporting our programmes on our owned and licensed channels, with a focus on our largest market – the US.

 

Overview

 

In this role you will respond to briefs for the creation of on-air and social-oriented promos, trailers, sizzles, spots and other short-form content to promote Fremantle channels and programming on streaming, AVOD and FAST platforms.

 

You will be directly responsible for the creative production of the content, including editing and assembling footage, adding visual effects, and incorporating sound design including voiceover and effects.

 

You will work across multiple shows and genres to produce standout creative which elevates our programming, emphasizes the quality of our content, and ultimately drives audience awareness, acquisition and retention.

 

The Preditor is London-based but will work with both UK and US teams to ensure creative deliverables and processes align with briefs from both.

 

Desirable Experience & Qualities

 

  • Proven experience as a promo editor or Preditor, with examples of work you have directly produced.
  • Deep experience with the Adobe creative suite, in particular Premiere, After Effects and Audition.
  • Experience of working with emerging AI tools (image, voice, video) and curiosity to learn more.
  • Ability to work effectively in a transatlantic team, coordinating with US-based colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of the technical requirements for on-air and social video delivery.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Creative Production:

  • Edit high-impact promos, trailers, sizzles, and social content for TV and digital channels.
  • Collaborate with producers, other creatives, and marketeers to shape storytelling and messaging.
  • Adapt edits for different formats, aspect ratios, and platform-specific requirements.
  • Integrate motion graphics, music, and voiceover for polished output.
  • Manage versioning and delivery to deadlines and budgets.

 

Creative Planning:

  • Stay updated on trends in short-form content and editing styles.
  • Develop creative to push programming events (e.g. marathons, seasonal themes, new show launches or stunts) to capitalize on engagement opportunities.
  • Anticipate programming highlights with the marketing and content teams and produce themed creative (eg. retrospectives or milestone celebrations) that drives viewer excitement and tune-in.

 

Creative Leadership:

  • Understand audience targets and produce creative that speaks to specific audiences or creative objectives on each platform or channel.
  • Curate and enforce brand adherence for Fremantle IP (programming, individual channels, Fremantle corporate).
  • Ensure a high standard of quality and consistency in all output.

 

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience of working in the US broadcast market or with US content.
  • Experience of producing short-form promotional content for non-linear platforms (esp. FAST and AVOD).
  • Advanced understanding of AI tool capabilities and how they can be integrated into a video production workflow at scale.
