Job Description
DK UK Sales - Sales Executive (Ireland)

Are you a book lover with a knack for organisation and a drive for results? We’re looking for a proactive, high-energy Sales Executive to join our blossoming Irish team!

This is a unique, multifaceted role that sits at the heart of our Irish sales strategy. While you’ll be the backbone of our administrative operations, you'll also have the opportunity to get out from behind the screen to connect with the industry.

You’ll be working closely with our Sales and Marketing Manager (also based in Ireland). While this is a remote role, you won’t be isolated. Expect plenty of connection and collaboration with our vibrant team in the UK and with contacts across Ireland.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Keeping the wheels turning by managing daily orders and liaising with our warehouse teams.

  • Arranging and attending meetings, taking minutes, and generating data reports.

  • Preparing high-impact presentations for major retailers, listening to and communicating customer needs back to the business as required.

  • Developing and maintaining up to date contact lists across customers and across the media.

  • Ensuring our books get the spotlight they deserve by distributing POS materials and Advance Reading Copies to booksellers and media.

  • Getting involved in the buzz of the Irish book trade! You’ll manage mailing lists for influencers, coordinate author events, and attend trade fairs to hunt for new opportunities.

Who you are:

  • You are a multi-tasking pro who can juggle a variety of activities and pivot quickly when priorities shift, all while staying calm under pressure.

  • You’re highly organised and take pride in accuracy, from sales presentations to complex spreadsheets.

  • You’re a people person who can build great relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners alike.

  • You have a genuine passion for books and a curiosity about the Irish book trade.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be someone who works autonomously, suggests new ideas, and never gives up until the goal is reached. We value resilience, initiative, and a team-first attitude. Previous experience in a bookshop or publishing is a major plus, but if you’re energetic and ready to learn, we want to hear from you!

If you are ready to help us reach new readers in Ireland, please apply with your most recent CV and cover letter by Sunday 31 May 2026

Please note, applications without a cover letter will not be considered.

We have a range of benefits to reflect our commitment to our people, some of which are:

  • 25 days paid holiday entitlement in year one, plus bank holidays

  • Generous pension scheme

  • Volunteering policy and charity matching

  • Employee assistance programme

  • 70% discount on company books

  • Flex Fridays (1pm Finish*)

  • Up to 30 days remote working from abroad*

*Subject to certain criteria being met.

And we plant a tree for every new employee to our business
