Project Designer - DK Knowledge

DK is looking for a talented, experienced Project Designer to join our dynamic Knowledge team. The DK Knowledge team crafts world-class books packed with rich reference content—designed to inform, inspire, and stand out. As Project Designer, you’ll bring a creative edge and smart commercial thinking to shape visually compelling, high-impact titles. You’ll lead projects from concept to delivery, working closely with a Project Editor to research fresh ideas, commission standout content, and deliver best-in-class design.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, visually impactful books

  • Commissioning and briefing photographers, artists, and freelance designers with clear direction and feedback

  • Collaborating effectively with editorial partners and internal teams

  • Managing budgets and schedules, and resolving issues proactively

  • Maintaining consistently high creative and production standards

  • Staying up to date with the latest technology and emerging design trends

We’re looking for a proactive designer who can take projects from concept to completion, manage multiple deadlines with clear communication, and adapt ideas for different markets. You’ll bring strong skills in typography, layout, and image handling, while maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is essential; experience with Asana is a plus. You should be creative, adaptable, commercially aware, and confident working both independently and collaboratively.

If you are interested in working in a team where every project offers something new to learn, please apply!

Please submit your most recent CV, cover letter and portfolio by Wednesday 18 June 2025. Please note, we would like to see your original work and cannot accept AI generated images as part of your portfolio.
