Job Description
Product Executive (Canelo)

Are you commercially minded, highly organised, and passionate about bringing books to market?  Do you enjoy working with data, spotting trends, and collaborating across teams to help shape publishing success?  If so, we’d love you to join us as our new Product Executive.

This is an exciting new role at a pivotal time for DK, supporting the growth and integration of Canelo into our publishing portfolio.  As Product Executive, you’ll play a key role in connecting the Canelo and Sales teams helping to identify key titles, guide focus across market channels, and ensure our publishing and sales strategies are perfectly aligned.

You’ll work closely with colleagues in Sales, Editorial, and Marketing to forecast trends, analyse data, and make sure Canelo titles are represented effectively across the trade. It’s a role that offers variety, visibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a key link between the Canelo and Sales teams, ensuring titles are prioritised and promoted effectively across all market channels

  • Collaborating with Editorial and Sales to ensure publishing schedules are aligned with sales activity

  • Collaborating with marketing and publicity to ensure all campaigns are communicated effectively across departments and are on course.

  • Helping to prepare presentations and sales materials for internal and external meetings

  • Running market and sales analysis to identify trends and opportunities

  • Contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and pre-acquisition analysis

  • Coordinating internal communication of sales information across departments

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Exceptionally organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Confident working with data and comfortable using it to drive decisions

  • A natural communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams

  • Commercially aware, with an interest in fiction and the book market

  • A self starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities

  • This role would particularly suit someone currently working as a Sales Assistant or in a similar publishing support role who’s ready to take the next step in their career and broaden their commercial experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting chapter in DK’s growth and join at a crucial stage in Canelo’s journey. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of departments and build a strong foundation for a career in product or publishing management.
