We're looking for an organised, proactive and friendly PR & Marketing Assistant to join DK in a hands-on administrative role that will give you experience across both PR and Marketing, working on campaigns for books across DK’s adult division. If you enjoy being the person who makes things happen and keeps everything on track, this could be the right next step for you.
In this role, you’ll quickly become the person who keeps everything running smoothly for the PR and Marketing team. You’ll look after the day-to-day organisation of the department, updating systems, keeping processes on track and making sure everyone has what they need. You’ll also take charge of the Press Inbox for the team, responding to enquiries, passing things on to the right people and building helpful relationships along the way.
You’ll get involved in campaigns across both publicity and marketing, whether that’s preparing press materials and marketing briefs, helping with mail-outs, or supporting influencer activity. You’ll play a big part in looking after our authors too, from booking travel to organising schedules and helping to make sure their DK experience is relaxed and enjoyable.
There’s also plenty of responsibility on the administrative side: processing invoices and expenses, keeping budgets in order and generally helping the team stay on top of the details. You’ll support with events, from sorting logistics and talking to partners to attending launches, bookshop signings and festivals. You’ll also help steer our awards submissions and work with colleagues throughout the process. Above all, you’ll be a warm, reliable first point of contact for internal teams, authors, agents and external partners.
To succeed in the role, you’ll enjoy keeping things organised and be able to stay on top of a busy workload without getting flustered. You’ll communicate clearly - over email, on the phone or in person, and feel comfortable juggling different tasks as they come your way.
If you’re excited by this role, we’d love to hear from you! For your application to be considered, please ensure both cover letter and CV are submitted.
