Marketing Manager

DK is looking for a creative and ambitious marketing professional to join the Sourcebooks UK team.

 

Reporting into the Sourcebooks UK Campaigns Director, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high impact marketing campaigns across the entire list working closely with the Digital Marketing Executive. You will have proven book publishing marketing experience and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

 

You will have a commercially focused approach prioritising sales-generating activity and will have a track record of delivering marketing initiatives with measurable impact.  You will ensure activity supports commercial priorities and delivers strong ROI. You will have excellent knowledge and capability in key marketing tactics, tools, and best practices.  You will keep abreast of and share updates on new trends and technologies, developing skills through self-learning, training and application. You will have excellent market knowledge and awareness of the latest trends.

 

You will be responsible for planning and executing campaigns for brand authors, exciting debuts and established series as well as delivering ongoing measurable results across the backlist.


The successful candidate will be a pro-active team player who is passionate about matching dynamic books with their audience.



Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead the Sourcebooks UK Marketing activity across the entire list

  • Working closely with the Campaigns Director, create and deliver the UK marketing strategy for Sourcebooks UK

  • Implement marketing strategies for some of the biggest names on the list including Freida McFadden and Scarlett St. Clair

  • Manage freelancers working on campaigns across the list (where relevant)

  • Work closely with the Sourcebooks US team and Digital Marketing Executive on delivery of an effective social media and digital marketing strategy

  • Work on the planning and creation of all consumer and trade marketing activity across the list

  • Oversee the creation and design of point of sale materials

  • Evaluate and report to the Campaigns Director and as directed to the wider business on marketing campaign activity 

  • Liaise closely with our US counterparts 

  • Work closely with Sales colleagues keeping them updated on marketing plans and activity across frontlist and backlist titles

  • Attend trade shows and author events where relevant

  • Prioritise excellent communication and author care

  • Manage the allocated marketing budget across campaigns and wider marketing activity

  • Work closely with your colleagues across the wider DK Marketing and Communications team exploring and creating opportunities for collaboration
