Job Description
Data Analyst - DK Commercial Insights

Are you a curious, data-driven storyteller with a passion for problem solving?

At DK, we sit at the intersection of beautiful publishing and strategic insights. We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our small, collaborative team as a vital bridge between complex data and high-level decision-making.

This isn't just about spreadsheets; it’s about business partnering. You will act as a strategic ally to our creative stakeholders, providing the actionable insights that give DK a competitive edge in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.

The Impact You’ll Make:

In this role, you’ll find a perfect mix of regular commercial reporting and ad-hoc strategic projects, such as portfolio reviews and market analysis. Your top priorities will include:

  • Delivering market, consumer, and competitor analysis that drives real business action.

  • Designing and building analytical models using SQL, Python, or R to support predictive solutions.

  • Building interactive dashboards (with a focus on Power BI) to communicate data stories impactfully to internal customers.

  • Ensuring our data remains a ‘trusted’ source through high quality, accurate, and clear documentation.

Why You’ll Love Working at DK:

  • You will collaborate closely, business partnering with creative teams, helping them understand how data can influence the future of the books we publish.

  • From technical problem-solving to high-level executive reporting, no two weeks are the same.

  • Join a team that promotes constant learning and has a strong strategic voice within the wider Finance department.

Who You Are:

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a data role who thrives on variety and problem-solving. You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • Strong skills in data analysis, visualisation, and analytical languages.

  • You excel at translating technical requirements into "data stories" and communicating them to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A commitment to logic and detail that ensures our data is always reliable.

  • A natural drive to try novel approaches and explore new technologies.

  • While publishing experience isn't required, an interest in books and the creative process is a definite plus!

If this sounds like the perfect role for you, please apply with your most recent CV and a cover letter. Applications close at midnight on 29th March 2026.

Salary: From £35,000 depending on experience.

We have a range of benefits to reflect our commitment to our people, some of which are:

  • 25 days paid holiday entitlement in year one, plus bank holidays

  • Generous pension scheme

  • Volunteering policy and charity matching

  • Employee assistance programme

  • 60% discount on company books

  • Cycle to work scheme and discounted gym membership

  • Shopping discounts

  • Flex Fridays (1pm Finish*)

  • Up to 30 days remote working from abroad*

*Subject to certain criteria being met.
