DK Finance - Temporary Business Analyst (12-month maternity cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and ambitious Business Analyst to join the finance team at DK on a 12-month basis.

We are looking for that eager and proactive individual who can hit the ground running to provide commercial and financial support to the DK Living division, with a particular focus on DK Children’s, as well as supporting the wider Commercial Finance team.

Working both strategically and analytically, key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Assist in assessing the profitability of future publishing programmes to drive strategy and decision-making.

  • Prepare and analyse the monthly commercial KPI pack for circulation to the global leadership team.

  • Support the Commercial Finance team in evaluating the performance and profitability of published titles.

  • Provide timely divisional reporting on key title sales and assist in the periodic divisional planning & forecasting cycles, including preparing sales forecasts and overhead budgets.

  • Support the Finance team in monitoring and reviewing investment spend on titles to ensure optimum cost control.

  • Serve as a key financial support partner for the DK Children’s creative team.

This role will suit a part-qualified individual with excellent attention to detail who is financially and commercially aware. Working to multiple deadlines, projects and workloads, the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and able to work independently as well as part of a team with a can-do attitude. You will be IT literate with excellent Excel skills and working knowledge of Business Objects and SAP. Any experience of using Anaplan would be advantageous.
