Marketing Consultant

  • Develop marketing strategies that will successfully promote DK’s frontlist and backlist titles (local and international) across varied platforms; including creating annual strategies and calendars.
  • Promote DK brand and products in the India market, via social media, on-ground events, and over Amazon and Flipkart; including ideation and creation of suitable sales material for promotions.
  • Promote and drive DK presence on social media with targeted content marketing across social media channels, planned campaigns that promote the content of books.
  • Proactively build on key stakeholder and customer relationships including Penguin Random House and Amazon.
  • Drive DK’s Amazon and Flipkart programme to enhance sales and marketing promotions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the database; ensure that the database gets regular updates via newsletters (including across DK).
  • Analyze data and timely generation of accurate reports for regular updates.
  • Develop contacts across print, broadcast and digital media; these would include traditional media agencies, social media influencers and the blogging community. Regularly update them on DK promotions, events, and title launches in order to increase coverage of DK books within the media.
  • Develop partnerships with booksellers, book stores and other influencers within the Indian publishing industry expanding across the metros as well as Tier-II and Tier-III cities. Regularly update them on DK promotions, events, and title launches.
  • Analyze and track competition, marketing trends, and demographics within the Indian publishing industry; maintain a folder of all news clippings related to DK.
  • Work with the special sales team as and when needed to promote the brand.
  • Handling marketing budget for local and central ops, and maintaining marketing tracker.
