Your Mission at BMG

Your primary mission is to oversee the global marketing of US signed artists to BMG New York/Los Angeles. You will be the point of contact for the Artist and Artists management team, to discuss and explain the global roll-out of their music. Your constant communication with BMG colleagues and teams outside of the US, will streamline the flow of information and processes. Your marketing knowledge, command over budgets and project management skills will be harnessed, so that projects run smoothly and on time. Your ability to communicate through challenges and work as a team, will be of paramount importance.

 

Your Profile

  • You have an interest in music marketing, distribution, global markets and traveling
  • You have familiarity with a variety of music genres and digital audio file formats.
  • You are comfortable working in a team and are a self-starter. 
  • Your time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily. 
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Product-manage globally focused, US signed releases for all BMG NY frontline releases in addition to Trojan Jamaica Records and LA-based Renew Records label groups
  • Liaise with international teams, supply chain and production teams, artist managers and international distribution teams to ensure assets are collected and communicated in a timely manner

 

  • Collect budget requests, promotion team proposals, sales projections and other relevant territory-specific marketing suggestions from international teams and communicate with domestic product managers through weekly marketing meetings and budget approval discussions

 

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree -Requested
  • Basic understanding of International Music Marketing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, Excel, music DSP’s
