Your Profile

We are seeking an energetic, goal-oriented music lover with great ears and impeccable client service skills to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Creative & Music Services Development. We are looking for a polished team player to help build strength and traction out of our NY office by serving our existing clients. You will join an established team of some of the industry’s most respected players, who have collectively helped to make ours the fastest growing company in our sector.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for providing world-class client service with a focus of deepening and increasing the value of relationships with existing clients. Skills imperative to this position include being a strategic and critical thinker, being entrepreneurial and possessing the ability working well independently, as well as, part of a team. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding work ethic and attitude along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in the world of music licensing, pitching for a music house, or receiving music pitches on behalf of a music house/supervisor is a plus, as are established relationships within the music area across any form of media.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsibility for exceeding monthly and annual sales objectives
  • Responsibility for the on-going management, relationship development and revenue maximization from existing clients within his/her assigned book of business.
  • Daily interaction with clients serving their music and licensing needs, including creating a variety of music playlists and samplers to support client productions.
  • Updating a client’s CRM profile consistent with company guidelines after each contact or activity.
  • Attending and participating in Weekly Sales Meetings.
  • Attend Sales Summit Meetings to be held at the company’s offices in Los Angeles on two occasions each year.
  • Visiting client offices and attending trade-shows/conferences on behalf of the company.
  • Collaborate and work with team members across all of the company’s functional areas to ensure that our client’s needs are served, including working with our creative team to fulfill client music requests.
  • Researching future productions and client music needs to provide guidance and direction to our creative team.
  • Manage creative input from clients, staff, market trends/needs and other sources to provide feedback for the music production team.
  • Attend events and gatherings to meet and build relations across the industry.

 

Must-Haves

  • one to three years of successful sales and/or client service experience with a demonstrable track record of consistent success.
  • A familiarity with a variety of music genres and digital audio file formats.
  • You are comfortable working in a team and are a self-starter. 
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects, seeing them to successful completion.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Music Business or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must exhibit a superior work ethic and a consistently optimistic attitude.
  • Must demonstrate a strong customer-focused aptitude, possessed of a polite and courteous manner.
  • Must be detail-focused with strong, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, as well as, an intuitive, innovative thinker and problem solver.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible and adaptive to an ever-changing work setting.
  • Basic understanding of music licensing is a plus.
