Sr. Human Resources Business Partner

Your Mission at BMG.

Your primary mission is to be a key part of delivering the US and global HR strategy. You will be a confident second-in-command to the VP, Human Resources and serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. You will be a key contact for employees, providing assistance and guidance, ensuring timely and relevant follow-up and resolutions in a timely manner.


A successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent, communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management.

What You’ll Be Doing.

Business Partnering

  • Forging close and influential working relationships with key stakeholders within the business
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and culture, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide timely, pragmatic and professional HR advice and guidance to stakeholders in line with HR policies, procedures and initiatives
  • Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Handling employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues. Conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Identifying training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems through our Performance & Development dialogue.
  • Empower a diverse culture and support our internal Diversity and Inclusion Council to ensure all employees feel supported and differences are celebrated.
  • Conduct HR budget planning for the US in conjunction with finance department and HR controller, providing compensation support including salary planning and job leveling
  • Consult managers and business leaders on workforce planning, including salary and staffing needs by providing business insight and recommendations on promotions, increases and additions to the workforce.

HR Administration

  • Providing support for the onboarding and leaver processes in our New York and Nashville office.
  • Assisting international employees with related HR matters, including visa’s and intercompany transfers.
  • Issuing employment and transfer agreements
  • Ensuring that the company stays compliant with legal training requirements for the US offices
  • Maintaining human resource information system records (SAP Success Factors and UKG) and compiling reports from the database.
  • Handling general HR & payroll transactions.


  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the outside counsel as needed/required.
  • Working on various HR projects as needed.



  • Experienced HR generalist with strong employment law knowledge and employee relations experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work flow.
  • Human Resources degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong people skills, able to build rapport quickly across all business groups and levels.
  • Confident in delivering presentations and chairing meetings.
  • Strong communication including superb formal and informal writing skills.
  • Excellent PC skills; intermediate skills in Microsoft Word & Excel.
