Your Mission at BMG

Your primary mission is to support the Artist & Mechanical Royalty Managers in the day to day activities of the team. This includes entering publisher, license, and rate data in to BMG’s royalty system, data clean-up and entry to clear income from calculation error, and other various projects.  As a service provider to BMG’s labels, you will need to build a solid rapport with the staff at each label. Your approach to the task is creating solutions and solving problems.


Your Profile

  • You have an interest in royalties, licensing, and music rights administration.
  • You have a strong analytical aptitude and are comfortable working with financial data, calculations, spreadsheets.
  • You are highly motivated and work well in a team environment.
  • You have an exceptional attention for detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.
  • You a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set-up mechanical data in royalty system, including creating and updating publisher shares, product rate changes, client details including address updates, corresponding artist information, tax and payment details, etc.
  • Collaborate with Licensing team to ensure smooth rate sheet workflow.
  • Process Letters of Direction and changes of ownership/administration.
  • Support quarterly and semi-annual royalty analysis to ensure all accounts meet expectations.
  • Answer inqueries regarding royalty statements, payments, etc.
  • Log client inquiries into Atlassian JIRA client relation management (CRM) database.
  • Review and address pending sales lines and unlicensed products in royalty system.
  • Clear product and rate calculation errors.
  • Prepare, review and deliver client statements and payments on a quarterly and semi-annual basis.
  • Various Ad-hoc projects and reports as required



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Understanding of artist and mechanical royalties
  • Experience working with copyright and royalty software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Work, and Excel.
