Manager, Royalty & Client Services

Your Mission
We are seeking a strategic, and detail-oriented Royalty & Client Services person to join our global team. You will be a core member of the team requiring attention to detail, patience, and time management. In this role, you will handle client account updates which aid in facilitating accurate payments to our clients, assist department management with outreach projects related to our VIP partner deals, and have key responsibilities associated with royalty distribution preparation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for consolidating and preparing Weekly payment requests for Finance and completing reconciliation reports, post payment release, for client transaction uploads. This will require collaboration with Accounts Payable and Finance.
- Represent department as the point person for Heirs & Estates. This will include consolidation of completed estate packages and liaising with BMG Legal team for document reviews.
- Partner with Department head and global working group to lead global conversations around client services workflow automations and system implementations through GenAI capabilities and use of LLM’s. Work with development teams to explain wants/needs of functions and perform testing during development sprints.
- Assist Sr. Manager with recorded client inquiries and research as well as work on recorded client clean-up projects requested by Recorded Royalties and Finance.
- Investigate, review, and complete internal and external inquiries through research, problem solving and collaboration with other departments.
- Perform client updates within our systems to ensure proper payment and account details are on record.
- Maintain workload management in Jira Service Desk of all assigned tickets and tasks
- Assist the team with large scale projects regarding client account clean-up’s and outreach. Perform ad hoc tasks as needed to support the department and BMG clients.
- Independent resolution of basic to intermediate client inquires, including change of address, bank account updates, tax updates, myBMG account creations, statement and payment questions, income tracking, and sync related matters
What We Are Looking For
- Ability to multi-task, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Intermediate skills with MS Excel: V-look, pivot tables, cleaning data, conditional formatting, etc.
- Previous years of industry or related experience working with publishing royalties, recorded royalties, financial accounting, large data clean-up projects, exposure to AI models.
- Strong interpersonal skills: being able to define the appropriate type of communication for internal and external conversations based on the situation, approaching clients with patience and empathy, and being able to build relationships with our clients and colleagues.
- Ability to transition between analytical & servicing train of thought; having the mental agility to transition between tasks and needs on short notice.
- Previous experience with Jira Service Desk & SAP.
- SQL or other coding languages.
- Familiarity with Google OneDrive

Pay Range
$60,000-$63,000 per annum
The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
