As Manager of Publishing A&R, you’ll be at the heart of our creative mission: signing creators you’re passionate about, nurturing their careers, and finding exciting new opportunities for their music. You’ll work closely with a supportive and skilled team to add value to every signing, while cultivating and maintaining a strong network in Nashville and beyond. From securing covers for songs in our extensive catalog to uncovering innovative ways to share our legendary roster’s work, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of BMG Publishing.

 

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Pitching current and catalog songs to secure cuts with artists signed to major and independent labels.
  • Planning co-write combinations for writers and coordinating their calendars appropriately.
  • Scouting and recruiting new talent to sign, including writers, artists and producers.
  • Staying informed on industry changes, new label signings, artists looking for songs, outside writer deals, up-and-coming creators for possible collaborations, and more is a must.
  • Assisting in tracking down missing song information for the creative admin team.
  • Foster a positive, inspiring environment for creators and colleagues alike.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Proven experience booking, maintaining, and managing calendars for songwriters.
  • Deep understanding of and experience in the music industry, particularly in publishing and working with songwriters.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Established network of existing and working relationships in Nashville.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MacOS, and Google Calendar.
