Your Mission at BMG

This administrative position is focused on song data maintenance including catalog upload, new song entry and updates to existing songs.  In this role, which is crucial to various internal and external processes such as registration, licensing, and royalty processing, you will interact with most departments in the US and internationally, but also with BMG clients, performing and mechanical rights organizations, record labels, etc.

What You’ll Be Doing


Song Entry & Updates

  • Enter and update songs delivered from variety of sources within agreed timeframe
  • Manage incoming requests and ensure they’re completed correctly and efficiently
  • Research and validate missing information (including contract type and royalty rates)
  • Liaise with Creative Department to ensure information quality
  • Troubleshoot and clean-up registration errors in compliance with electronic works registration standards/protocol

Bulk Catalog Entry/Updates                                                                                                                                                   

  • Prepare and organize large catalog data in Excel
  • Work closely with Data Services team to ensure large projects are completed and troubleshoot errors
  • Quality control to ensure that entries are registration and royalty-ready               

Information Services & Ad-Hoc Projects:                                                                                                                          

  • Review, research and provide timely responses to rights queries and information requests including label copies, and claim confirmations
  • Test software, including new versions of iMaestro and document results
  • Review CWR data on a bi-weekly basis to ensure new and updated songs were properly submitted to societies.

Perform weekly quality checks of new songs entered into iMaestro to validate accuracy of data.

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree Preferred)
