Your Mission at BMG

You will be supporting the driving frontline business of BMG West Coast. Your primary mission is to support the EVP Repertoire & Marketing and the VP Global Writer Services on executing creative projects, preparing meetings with research, preparing and following up on deal opportunities. Additional responsibilities will include the preparation of reports and presentation for weekly reporting duties as well as for international meetings and workshops.

  • You are keen on gaining an overview of different aspects on the business.
  • You think analytically, but approach tasks with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Your excellent time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily. 
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Research and preparation for meetings, phone calls and deal conversations
  • Executing and following up on projects with multiple parties and departments
  • Preparing reports, presentations and analyses for routine and ad-hoc projects
  • Reviewing deal opportunities, executing deal process in coordination with supervisor
  • Working directly with clients on publishing and recorded side
  • Review, prepare and summarize financial and market reports

 

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and potentially Music Business
  • Good understanding of the music industry and current developments in music business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

 

Desired Skills

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of Tableau and other data analytic tools
  • Previous experience in the music business
