Your Mission at BMG

Your primary mission is assisting the Senior Manager Creative Services and A&R Administration.  In this role you will review new agreements, prepare deal summaries advising team members of the material terms of new deals, review lyrics and artwork for new projects, welcome and on-board new signings, connect newly signed artists and their teams to various internal departments.  There will be additional general administration duties such as drafting correspondence, data entry, document processing and research.

 

Your Profile

  • You have an interest in the music business including recorded music, music publishing, synch and marketing.
  • You have familiarity with a variety of music genres and digital audio file formats.
  • You are comfortable working in a team and are a self-starter. 
  • Your time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily. 
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.
  • You are well versed with internet research.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist Director/Sr. Director of A&R Administration and Vice President Legal and Business Affairs for Frontline and all US labels including S-Curve, Rise, RBC, Commission, BMG Latin and BBR.
  • Obtain and track asset deliverables including: metadata, side artist clearances, producer agreements, LODs, and sample licenses.
  • Confirm delivery requirements have been met on each release.
  • Collect and review full credits from Artist Management and assemble all label copy and metadata for releases. 
  • Review all lyrics.
  • Review and approve all album Artwork from a Legal perspective.

 

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills..
  • Proficiency with Microsoft.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Patience and fearlessness.
  • Foreign language proficiency a plus (especially Spanish).
