Job Description
Royalties Administrator

At BMG, we recognise the power of music and are dedicated to ensuring it thrives. We are a community of artists, songwriters, and partners, working together to create music and build lasting careers. Here, music creators find not just a business partner, but a trusted home where their work shapes culture and leaves a legacy. Together, we evolve and grow.

We believe that creativity flourishes when people feel they belong. That means building a culture where everyone can show up as themselves, contribute freely, and be treated with fairness and respect - whatever their background, identity, or life story. We’re committed to creating a workplace where individuality is valued, inclusion is intentional, and everyone has the chance to grow. All applicants to BMG will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

Royalties Administrator
Benelux

Your Mission

At BMG, artists and songwriters come first. As our new Royalties Administrator, you'll play a direct role in making that promise real, managing the royalty flows that turn streams, sales and performances into actual income for artists and rights holders across the Benelux.

Based in our Hilversum office and working closely with our Copyright and A&R teams, you'll take full ownership of the royalty process for Benelux, ensuring distributions from Buma/Stemra, SABAM and Sena are processed correctly and that every rights holder is paid accurately and on time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process monthly distributions from Buma/Stemra and SABAM in our royalty system and generate client statements
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, corrections and unmatched suspense amounts
  • Maintain income tracking and proactively flag deviations or overdue receipts
  • Handle statement queries and A&R requests through Jira
  • Conduct quarterly SAP reconciliations, statement checks and cash matching
  • Prepare monthly investment reports
  • Link products to the correct clients in collaboration with colleagues

What We’re Looking For

You are the ideal candidate if you thrive on structure, deadlines and precision work. You like processes that are accurate down to the last cent. You also recognise yourself in the following:

  • Proven experience in financial or royalty administration, ideally in music or entertainment
  • The kind of attention to detail that catches what others miss, especially under month-end pressure
  • Advanced Excel skills across reconciliations, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH and large datasets
  • The ability to translate complex royalty questions into clear, straightforward answers for A&R teams and artists
  • A proactive streak: you flag problems and suggest improvements before anyone has to ask
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, written and spoken
  • A talent for managing priorities within a tight, recurring monthly rhythm

What's in it for you?

  • A competitive salary, depending on your knowledge and experience.
  • A challenging role within a dynamic and internationally growing music company.
  • An inspiring work environment with passionate colleagues who all share a love of music.
  • The option to work from home two days per week for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Travel expense reimbursement.
  • Fun team outings.
  • Fresh fruit at the office and team lunches
