Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Your Mission at BMG.

BMG is on the lookout for a Qualified Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join us in our Paddington office and be responsible for proactively assisting the VP – Financial Controlling with managing the financial reporting of BMG’s UK business.


Your Responsibilities.

  • Ensure that accurate consolidated management reporting and analysis is distributed to the management team on a monthly basis.
  • Manage and take responsibility for management information packs and flash reporting for the UK and Hong Kong businesses on a routine and ad hoc basis.
  • Compile financial reporting packs for Financial Update and Strategic Business board meetings
  • Ensure accurate and timely month end reporting, reviewing overheads and assisting with accounting bookings as required.
  • Post and reconcile the payroll.
  • Support the annual Group Planning cycle. This will include managing the processes involved in preparing key deliverables for each component of the overall cycle,  developing a deep understanding of key internal and external operating, financial and value drivers, and working with regions and functions to ensure forecasts and plans are presented.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts and long range plan for the companies and its departments and cost centres.
  • Review financial processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy and drive effective financial forecasting. 
  • Identify opportunities to create value-added financial analysis
  • Ensure accounting processes are aligned with IFRS standards and provide information to internal and external auditors when requested
  • Work closely with other Finance teams such as Financial Reporting, Finance Assistants, FP&A and Transactions teams and Group Finance teams
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required


Your Profile.

  • 5 years’ post qualification experience of statutory accounts, month end and balance sheet recs
  • Ability to manage work for large number of legal entities
  • SAP/Excel (Intermediate/ Advanced)
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS
  • Fully Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to challenge
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Diligent, conscientious, proactive and flexible in approach
  • Experience in a similar role within the music industry & an understanding of royalties a plus
  • Experience in magnitude beneficial
  • Interest in music, of course!
