Demand & Capacity Manager (f/m/d)


We are looking for a Demand & Capacity Manager (f/m/d) to join our growing BMG Supply Chain team in London or Berlin.


You will be joining BMG at an exciting time as the business embarks on a significant growth plan. Working with the dedicated supply chain team around the world you will be working across our entire repertoire and will be involved with product by artists including Duran Duran, Alt-J, Kylie Minogue, KSI, Max Giesinger and Kontra K. During the pandemic the public has reconnected with vinyl and once again fallen in love with this iconic format as we see unprecedented demand.


Your Mission

You will be responsible for the demand and capacity planning process for our recorded music repertoire at a challenging time in the industry. Supporting our Supply Chain hubs across Germany, US and UK, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our clients products to market in a timely manner.


Your Responsibilities 

  • Manage demand forecasting
  • Work closely with the UK/CE & US production teams to schedule releases with the various manufacturers up to 12 months ahead of release date
  • Tactically manage where jobs are placed depending on format requirements
  • Manage capacity allowance
  • Seek solutions for any issues that may arise
  • Monitor timelines in advance to ensure all parties are on track with supplying production parts so not to lose capacity bookings for late cancelled projects
  • Monitor and work around challenges at manufacturers including maintenance shutdowns, covid related staff shortages, raw material shortages etc.
  • Oversight of Freight Management


Your Profile

  • Relevant experience in Demand and Capacity Planning
  • Strong planning, organisational, administrative and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of physical manufacturing in the media industry
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic and solution-oriented
  • Experience within the Music industry is desirable but not essential
