Continental Europe IT Workplace Support Lead (f/m/d)

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Workplace Support Lead (f/m/d) to join our IT function based in our Berlin headquarter office. You are a thorough, highly flexible, unreserved team player, and a communicator, keen to be part of the world's fastest-growing music company, BMG. You have a passion for the music industry as a whole and are also able to dive into details as and when required.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily management of the Berlin based IT Workplace Support team that serves Continental Europe (2 team members). You will focus on further enhancing the support function through effective process design, team management, and supporting the team in their daily roles. This role will report into the IT Operations & Service Delivery lead.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and mentor the Berlin based IT Workplace Support team to ensure high performance 
  • Coordination of the daily operations/tasks of the IT Support team, managing workloads, and ensuring support is delivered in line with user/stakeholder requirements   
  • Ensuring that key ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Event, Knowledge Management, etc.) are followed by the team 
  • Providing VIP support, and ensuring processes are established for senior executives
  • Lead and manage IT projects related to office infrastructure and/or services, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop project plans, track progress, and report on project status to stakeholders
  • Coordinate and oversee IT aspects of CEU company integrations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology transitions
  • Work closely with the global IT teams to ensure alignment of IT support practices and policies

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • An ITIL V3/4 certificate or experience working within ITIL based frameworks is desireable but not mandatory
  • You are a team player with a focus on a customer-oriented mindset and approach to work
  • You enjoy working independently
  • You have experience of management within a Service Desk team or other IT Service Management related field
  • You have a strong grasp of technology, specifically in areas surrounding workplace infrastructure and services (Office 365, Networking, Active Directory, MDM, etc.)
  • Your communication skills are excellent and you have a passion for providing top tier IT Support
  • You are highly organised with an attention to detail 
  • Fluent English and German language skills are essential
