Analyst

Responsibilities: 

• Day to day operations, monitoring and maintenance task, such as:
  • User Administration
  • Proactive Monitoring
  • Backup Execution & Monitoring
  • Capacity & Performance Monitoring & Fine-tuning
  • Operations Reporting in accordance to ITIL best practices & systems (HP Service Manager, Jira Service Manager)
• Manage various database high availability setup, such as database replication, and clustering
• Administrative and troubleshooting as a Database Administrator (working closely with remote teams)
• Implement, migrate and upgrade database in accordance to architecture design specifications and standards

Requirements: 

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineer-ing, or equivalent.
• Strong foundational knowledge of and some working experience with open-source database administration, specifically MySQL (and/or MariaDB) and PostgreSQL.
• Basic knowledge of NoSQL technologies like Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, MongoDB, or Cas-sandraDB is preferred.
• Foundational skills in creating and analyzing SQL statements.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks, including packet analysis and routing.
• A basic understanding of database high availability features such as Galera Cluster and Mas-ter-Slave-Replication is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and RedHat.
• Knowledge of automation solutions using Ansible is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with database security features or products is a plus.
• Good analytical, interpersonal, and English communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to learn independently and work with minimum supervision.
• This role requires flexibility and the willingness to work in a dynamic, customer-driven project environment. The candidate is expected to communicate with clients and colleagues in the EU on a regular basis
