Vulnerability Management Consultant
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our vulnerability management program, policies and procedures
- Regular vulnerability analysis and interpretation of vulnerability scan data
- Research and classify new security findings in collaboration with subject matter experts from various technical teams
- Determine and coordinate remediation actions based on the data in coordination with the customer and our technical teams
- Preparing and presenting reports on the status of our vulnerability management program to our management and customers
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate vulnerability identification and remediation
- Track and manage the vulnerability management process
- Operate and optimize security processes and tools as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of vulnerability management and action planning experience
- Experience with common vulnerabilities and exploits and their mitigations
- Hands-on knowledge of common IT infrastructure technologies (networking, servers, routers, switches, software applications, operating systems, virtual machines, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and presence with customers - Willingness and ability to interact with customer team at a management level
- Ability to work independently and proactively, seeing the big picture of customer needs and working on solutions as needed
- Ability to work on multiple issues simultaneously
- Willingness to continually expand knowledge in the area of IT security and IT infrastructure
- Experience working with vulnerability management tools (desirable, but not a must)
- Security certifications are desired, but not required
- Fluency in English, German is a big plus
