The Arvato eCommerce team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our agile software development team building Digital Distribution and Marketplace solutions for some of the industry's biggest digital content publishers and retailers. With your team, you will maintain and enhance the existing solutions based on stakeholders' requirements to deliver value to end-customers. In this role, you will enhance your existing skills in testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing in order to reduce support efforts. You will also be empowered to improve technology and tooling as well as contribute features with the support of senior team members.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
•    1-2 years' experience with development using an IDE and a managed programming language (e.g. Visual Studio/VS Code - C#)
•    Object Oriented Design and SOLID principles and working knowledge of data structures and design patterns
•    1+ year usage of a distributed source control toolset (e.g. git)
•    Excellent troubleshooting and analytic skills of distributed systems, (e.g. using telemetry to find bugs in non-local environments)
•    1+ years working with SQL or other relational data
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    2+ years' experience using C# for development and testing (including unit and integration testing)
•    1+ years' experience building ASP.NET applications with .NET Core (2.1/3.1) or .NET 5
•    1+ years' experience with modern JavaScript (e.g. ES6+)
•    Experience with public cloud Platform as a Service offerings (e.g. Azure App Service)
•    Strong proficiency in fundamental Computer Science concepts like abstract data types, algorithm analysis
•    Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean or Flow development methodologies
•    Desire to work in small to medium teams with QA and Developers as contributing members
•    Belief in the value of continuous learning for development teams
•    1+ year of TypeScript and a front-end component-based framework (e.g. React)
•    Hands-on using HTTP/JSON and RESTful service concepts or gRPC / RFC service design
•    Authentication and Authorization design (e.g. Bearer-tokens)
•    Experience with Domain Driven Design and the CQRS pattern
