Business Development Director (Flexible on commencement date)

Position Summary

Hunt and acquire new business with new accounts. Provide support to the regional and global sales teams worldwide in expanding sales of Arvato globally in the Hi-Tech, Consumer Electronics and Industrial Electronics / Components industry; focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Hunt for new business in target markets with primary focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions. Focus on China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia growth and support regional clients global inquiries by cooperating with global colleagues. 
  2. Work with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Design and Logistics Engineering on creation of competitive concept proposals and develop new service offerings based on detailed and documented insight of market and client needs.
  3. Manage and maintain a structured analysis of target markets & clients and documentation in CRM system. Particularly for selected large target accounts, manage and maintain detailed global account plans and coordinate international sales activities (between EU, US, AP).
  4. Provide market intelligence and feedback to the Global and Regional teams on market & industry developments and competitors’ developments.
  5. Identify, analyze and compare alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies and present feasibility plans to the VP Business Development.
     

Job Requirements:

  • Fluent Mandarin is a must, fluent Japanese is an advantage
  • Highly self-motivated and success-driven professional with 10+years of experience in solution selling & new business development (logistics / supply chain management)
  • Very good understanding of logistics requirements and logistics solutions incl. warehouse design and according commercial experiences
  • Experience with working in multicultural teams and willingness to constantly learn
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team leadership skills
  • Ability to develop “rapport” with both internal and external customers
  • At least Bachelor degree level, preferable Master level. Specialized qualifications in SCM related disciplines will be advantageous
  • Willing to travel >=30% of time regionally and internationally
  • This position is open in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan
