Transportation Analyst

Position Summary:

The Account Management is responsible for designing customized solutions for our client in global supply chain management, customer relationship management, online platforms, financial services and much more. We understand our unique client business models and design solutions in close cooperation with them, and then subsequently implement the solution.  In order to support our growth targets, we are looking for a strong Transportation Analyst/Specialist who can drive critical projects with minimal supervision and brings a solid level of transportation/systems/process knowledge and can serve as the teams Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the diverse array of components that make up our overall client integrated SCM landscape. 

Manage and support customer integration functions for shipping and transportation. This role is responsible for providing hands on support to the Business and IT Teams during new client and carrier implementations and day-to-day business. Responsibility for transportation processes by assisting in test planning, issue reporting and providing technical and industry expertise for retail compliance.


Occupational Summary:
Work with carriers and customers to ensure and setup correct routing of orders considering important retailer compliance requirements. Responsible for data entries in multiple SAP systems. Handle special projects and day to day activities related to client requests, professional communication across functional areas with internal and external customers. Problem resolution and root cause analysis.

Occupational Responsibility:

  • Monitor KPIs for collect and prepaid transportations
  • Monitor and adhere to customer requests and vendor specific requirements (Routing guides)
  • Configuration of the TM system and data entries for client and carrier specifications
  • Review technical retailer, carrier and client specifications to insure that deliverables will accurately meet requirements
  • Date-, order-, packaging- and print-management based on specifications to ensure accurate on-time delivery
  • Support on short-term system changes on freight routing
  • Validation and creation support of shipping documents (BOL, Carrier Label, Retailer Label)
  • Being the interface between operations, IT, account management and other involved parties
  • Advise Arvato and the customer by identifying approaches to meet customer needs and/or retailer specific requirements
  • Assist the operations during the “go-live” by providing initial training and support assistance
  • Conduct gap analysis comparing client, retailer and business requirements
  • Participate in transition of the client to support by insuring that all checklist items are completed and quality requirements are met
  • Foster teamwork and trust across Arvato and customers
  • Ensure compliance with government policies in regards to shipping and freight movement




  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 or S4/Hana system
  • Good understanding of the freight market in North America
  • Experience with carrier requirements (LTL, FTL, Small Parcel)
  • Experiences with retailer compliance and requirements
  • Strong analytical reading comprehension for checking retailer routing guides
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Self-motivated to work independently with minimum Supervision
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of the documentation of shipments
  • Familiar with domestic and international shipping
  • Team Orientated
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
