Job Responsibilities:

The Dangerous Goods Advisor- North America will be responsible for partnering with a site operations team in our US Fulfillment Centers to execute company policies and ensure to all applicable local and regional regulations. This position will support with health and safety initiatives presented by the organizational leadership. By leveraging lean principles and kaizen, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates. A successful Dangerous Goods Advisor- North America will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and data.

The Dangerous Goods Advisor- North America must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You will instruct and train Operations Leaders in policies and procedures related to dangerous goods/health and safety. This role will assist the operations site teams by incorporating our standards at all sites. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into our standards to continuously improve the landscape. The Dangerous Goods Advisor- North America will possess excellent program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic knowledge and be able demonstrate this expertise when working with Operations.

The Dangerous Goods Advisor- North America will oversee the US facilities and communicate expectations, give frequent and appropriate feedback, and ensure they are executing the core competencies of an EHS professional.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4+ years of compliance 
  • Experience working in a Distribution Environment with State and Federal Environmental regulations
  • 6 years of working with Dangerous Goods

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Philosophy and Methodology
