As Transport Manager Cell & Gene / ATMP (m/f/x), you will be the first point of contact for our customers in the bio-pharma industry regarding GDP-relevant transport management for personalized therapies. Inspire our customers as an expert in the field of GXP with competent advice on new solutions and optimizations in quality or operational processes. You will work from our headquarters in Gütersloh or from our locations in Düren, Cologne or Hamburg.

Your task

• You manage and book shipments for highly sensitive and patient-individual Cell & Gene shipments (e.g. fresh cells, blood samples) against client specifications and pre-defined lane mapping
• You manage, control and monitor the entire transportation chain for national and international shipments from pick-up to delivery
• You handle exceptional situations in case of unforeseen events and circumstances 
• You collect status data and shipment information from carriers and maintain the information in a special user interface 
• You proactively alert locations and key stakeholders during pickup and delivery of Cell & Gene shipments, as well as in transit
• You will monitor and tracker GPS and temperature of all Cell & Gene shipments as well as daily dashboards
• You communicate with partner networks, carriers, suppliers, case managers (manufacturers) and logistics service providers to ensure successful pickup and delivery of every shipment
• You ensure that carriers adhere to all agreed upon company policies, procedures, and pricing structures
• You control the quality of processes and handle exceptions in day-to-day operations

Your profile

• Specialist Biopharm Courier Operations Experience
• Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport
• Compliant with GxP & IATA guidelines
• Sense of responsibility for daily work
• Understanding of world geography
• Ability to work successfully under pressure
• Excellent time management skills and a structured and independent way of working 
• Customer and service driven attitude and ability to creatively solve problems 
• Excellent communication skills in English, German language skills are preferable
