Field Inventory Coordinator

Purpose:  As a member of the Inventory Division, you will be tasked with completing stock takes at multiple locations within your allocated area, liaising directly with various departments within hospitals to schedule your appointments and to complete the reconciliation of your stock counts.


Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Responsible for scheduling and managing stock counts for your region/customers in an effective and timely manner to maximise efficiency in line with SLAs / KPIs.
  • Direct contact with hospitals via email/phone to request and confirm appointments.
  • Carry out stock counts of various medical products at hospital sites using bespoke inventory devices and software.
  • Ensuring that inventory is correctly checked, counted, recorded, reconciled and reported on, with supporting explanations.
  • Checking use-by dates and ensuring these are in the appropriate usage order to minimise waste.
  • On site investigation of missing products with hospital staff and patient records to establish any usage details.
  • Issue follow up report of missing stock to hospitals and/or Customers once count is completed.
  • Communicating any issues, changes, relevant information and overall progress to interested parties.
  • Liaising with the inventory team, account manager(s), customers, hospital representatives and our consignment and customer service teams as required.
  • Ensuring that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of you and other persons including risk assessments, vaccinations, security checks, safe working procedures.
  • Understanding of and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Any other duties which are reasonable and appropriate.

    Please note that you may also be required to work within the operating theatres of a hospital at times.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and application of stock control including counts, stock rotation, discrepancy investigation, and audit procedures.
  • Experience of a customer facing role.
  • Excellent IT Skills including MS Office, CRM and SAP.
  • Able to work to strict time pressures.
  • Good time management, planning and organisation skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Experience within the medical industry an advantage.
