Account & Business Development Manager - Abcoude

At our Marketing Services division in Abcoude a position for Account & Business Development Manager opened. In this position you are responsible for the account management of one of our clients and for developing the existing services portfolio to new customers.


As a “multichannel marketing facilitator”, this division takes over creative designs from customers, translates and converts them into campaigns, products, orders or leads. Leading European companies rely on its expertise and support in marketing campaigns & materials, loyalty programs and events. The services are being provided on- and offline.


As an Account Manager / Business Development Manager you are the main point of contact for our client and some preferred partners. You enjoy being in touch with the contact persons of our client, working together towards successful activities and developing the portfolio of services. In addition to managing existing business, you drive and support Business Development activities for our service portfolio with a proactive attitude. Working closely together with our operational teams, coordination and consultation are important aspects of your tasks. 


Tasks and Responsibilities:
•    Maintaining, extending and optimizing our existing contact network with the client;
•    You visit customers and potential clients to build, grow and develop business within the service portfolio of our Business Unit;
•    Design and monitor the commercial aspects of our work, contributing to the overall Business Unit success;
•    You proactively think of solutions and activities for the client and support implementing them together with our teams;
•    You work together successfully with our Dutch and International marketing teams.

In this position you are part of a cross-national team with other (Key) Account Managers, Senior Marketing / Production Managers who manage the team and an international Site Leader. You work internally closely with the Team Managers and the Site Leader and are supported by an experienced team of colleagues. Externally you maintain contact with our client, prospective clients and the preferred partners.


What we look for in our new colleague:
Our experienced team can teach you all about our interesting work field, so you don’t need to bring a ton of work experience with you. However, we do ask the following:
•    Bachelor or Master academic level (a completed education preferably in the direction of Economics, Marketing or Communication);
•    Candidates with 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience are also welcome to apply;
•    MS Office knowledge, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
•    Understanding of Digital Solutions and Business Cases;
•    Strong communication skills;
•    Commercial and organizational abilities;
•    Creativity and an eye for details;
•    Very good knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge English is desirable.

The Campaign Management Team is the bridge between the client and preferred partners and therefor responsible for the deployment of marketing activities, execution and monitoring of all attached processes. The list of activities includes online campaigns, in-store marketing, Printmanagement, digital and traditional direct mail, radio, print advertisement, social media, loyalty programs and events. In short: the team is in control and coordination of all activities that make the client and its partners successful.
