Reporting to the Director Analytics & Consulting Services, the Business Development Manager drives Business Development and Sales activities to grow our start-up like and very dynamic Arvato Analytics & Consulting Services team in the US.

 

Our mission is to revolutionize Finance through Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Behavioral Biometrics.

 

The Business Development Manager contributes to this mission by defining and leading US wide Marketing, Business Development, and Sales Initiatives.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • You collaborate with our intercultural and international team to revolutionize Finance through Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Behavioral Biometrics
  • You have end-to-end responsibility for new customer acquisition in the US, including the preparation of client workshops and meetings, the definition of solution designs in collaboration with the data science team and the preparation of RFP responses for different verticals and clients
  • You create case studies and success stories on successful projects to emphasize our capabilities
  • You identify organizations and their key decision makers, which are in need for Analytics & Consulting Services
  • You negotiate engagement terms with prospective business partners
  • You represent Arvato Financial Solutions at trade shows, conventions and industry events
  • You construct and oversee strategic collaborative efforts and a network of partners
  • You analyze market trends and competition along the entire finance value creation chain to provide inspiration and ideas for the ongoing development of our solutions and services
  • You lead and execute innovative marketing and sales initiatives

 

PERSONAL SPECS (please read in conjunction with the Key Result Areas)

Essential Qualifications, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master degree, ideally in Business, Finance, Econometrics, Business Analytics, Statistics or related fields
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a financial institution, startup or consultancy
  • Record of initiative-taking and leadership and prior experience in developing and executing business development initiatives
  • Competent and professional presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate across varying levels of executive management
  • Analytical and conceptual way of working and strong ability to close deals and negotiate well

 

Desirable Qualifications, Training, and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Analytics BI & Reporting tools and solutions (i.e. SQL, Microsoft Power BI, R, Python, SAS)
  • Experience in financial business processes such as credit management, fraud prevention, accounting or collections
  • Knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and IT systems
