Audit & Compliance Intern

Reports To: IT Project Manager

Location: Seattle, WA

 

As an Intern in our Finance Analytics & Consulting team you will be working in a community and culture of intelligent and fun people in our office at Westlake Tower in the heart of Downtown Seattle.

 

You will research different compliance certifications that are applicable to Arvato’s analytics solutions and support the implementation of process documentation and controls as well as obtaining relevant certifications for Arvato and its newly developed solutions.

 

This position offers a tremendous opportunity for growth in an international start-up environment with exposure to day-to-day business activities, business development, and senior management.

 

The ideal candidate would be able to commit to the internship for at least 3 months – either full- or part-time.

 

JOB DUTIES

 

  • Research different compliance certifications for analytics, technology, and other variables that may be applicable to Arvato and its solutions
  • Manage the documentation of processes and implementation of process controls
  • Design roadmaps to certifications and present them to senior business leaders at Arvato
  • Create PowerPoint presentations on your findings at key intervals in the process
  • Take responsibility for scheduling audits, talking to key stakeholders in all Arvato offices across the world, and gathering information
  • Get involved in the solution development process and take on project management tasks
  • Must be flexible and willing to take tasks from other business units without sacrificing main job duty

 

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

 

Essential Qualifications, Training and Experience:

  • Pursuing a B.A./B.S. at an accredited University
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience or Major in Law, Business, Economics, Finance, or relevant equivalents
  • Record of initiative-taking and leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities
  • Creative and innovative with proven skills to develop and foster fresh ideas
  • Adept at picking up new techniques and technology
  • Interest in startup culture and financial services
  • Proactive, action-oriented, and results-driven with strong business judgment

 

Desirable Qualifications, Training and Experience:

  • Previous relevant experience/internships with a focus on compliance
  • Experience in the financial service industry (i.e. payments, lending, billing, collections, etc.)
