HR Systems Analyst







Overall Job Purpose:

The primary role of the HR Systems Analyst is to support the global AFS HR organization by serving as a lead expert for the processes operated & owned by the Global HR systems team. The role is responsible for supporting the launch of additional countries and businesses as well as providing support to countries already launched on the Employee Central system and other digital HR tools.

Be the “go-to” information resource for all HR process related queries by understanding thoroughly the full set of HR processes as well as a working knowledge of the underlying systems on which they are operated.  


The ideal candidate will be an experienced Systems Analyst, ideally with experience in the implementation & run management of HR Administration systems, associated interfaces and data migration. Experience with SAP Success Factors would be a plus. 


The candidate that fills this position will join a team which oversees the functional development of Employee Central for projects that arise due to business needs throughout the organization.

  • A 3rd level HR qualification
  • A working knowledge of SAP Success factors Employee Central
  • Previous experience in SAP project implementation would be a distinct advantage
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement related qualification
  • Experience working in a HR role would prove beneficial

Key Result Areas

  • Be the first point of contact for HR System queries at AFS
  • Be the first point of contact for HR/Payroll queries for the team in Dublin
  • Support the Global HR Systems team by leading the troubleshooting, escalation & resolution of HR data and system issues 
  • Provide support for HRIS including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet business requirements.
  • Support the training of internal HR groups across affiliates on the HR Data Mgt processes 
  • Support global/regional HR Process related projects to continue to enhance and bring efficiencies to the HR processes by acting as the regional process expert for HR data management 
  • Assist in the implementation of the HR system including ensuring project deadlines are met and that HR data is captured accurately.
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilising appropriate reporting tools; develop and administer standard reports.
  • Manage HRIS data entry functions
  • Ensure accurate documentation process manuals are designed and updated for all HRIS processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy by conducting assessments, troubleshooting and correcting identified HR Data issues 
  • Coordinate & lead the robust testing for IT system updates and new releases with specific focus on maintaining & enhancing the quality of the underlying HR processes
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems and ensuring compliance with legislation e.g. GDPR.
  • Engage organization to drive strong performance; lead employee engagement initiatives locally and support HR globally to promote and develop arvato as ‘great place to work’
  • Ensure that employees data privacy is maintained
  • Develop user friendly procedures, guidelines and documentation.
  • Train staff and new system users on new processes/functionality.
  • Engage with SAP Engineering on system troubleshooting and liaise with local HR teams to develop tailored solutions
  • Coordinate system enhancements and change requirements with SAP, HR Systems Team and local HR stakeholders
  • Support HRIS system interfaces between HRCentral, Peoplenet and other Bertelsmann or external tools
  • Document requirement preparation 
  • Contribute to test script execution
  • Provide ad-hoc reports with data insights to support the HR Team and other business functions.
