Position Summary:
The Vice President, Growth Intelligence & Systems leads the strategy, development, and optimization of Alliant University’s data-driven growth infrastructure. This role unifies marketing, enrollment, and institutional analytics into a single operating system that enables precision, speed, and transparency across the student lifecycle.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the VP will architect and oversee the intelligence platform—a growth intelligence and attribution environment that integrates CRM, marketing automation, AI personalization, and performance analytics. Through a combination of systems design, data governance, and insight-driven leadership, the VP ensures that every marketing and enrollment decision at Alliant is informed by accurate data, actionable insights, and measurable ROI.
This position serves as a key member of the leadership team, driving alignment between technology, data, and strategic decision-making to support Alliant’s mission: preparing purpose-driven professionals to lead, heal, and educate.
Salary Range: $190,000 to 200,000 annualized (exempt position). Additional compensation: Eligible for a performance-based bonus, determined by individual targeted goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university required; MBA, MS in Data Science, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in growth analytics, marketing systems, or data strategy, preferably within higher education or a service-based industry.
Demonstrated success in managing enterprise CRM and marketing automation systems, building attribution models, and leading cross-functional analytics teams.
Certifications, Licenses, etc.: None required; Salesforce, Tableau, or data analytics certifications preferred.
Skills:
- Expertise in marketing attribution, funnel analytics, and lifecycle performance measurement.
- Advanced proficiency in CRM, SIS, and marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Slate, HubSpot, Marketo).
- Strong technical fluency in business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and AI governance frameworks.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights and executive recommendations.
- Executive leadership and team management skills emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Excellent written, oral, and digital communication skills.

Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic leadership for Alliant’s data and intelligence infrastructure, aligning systems and analytics with institutional growth goals.
- Oversee design and governance of Alliant Edge, integrating marketing, enrollment, and financial data into unified dashboards and forecasting tools.
- Serve as a thought partner to the Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership in shaping university-wide growth strategies.
- Ensure analytics and systems reflect Alliant’s mission, ethical standards, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Data Architecture & Systems Integration
- Lead integration of CRM, marketing automation, and SIS environments to create a seamless strategic enrollment engine.
- Develop and implement attribution frameworks across paid, owned, and earned media channels to measure cost-per-enrollment, conversion, and Student Lifetime Value (SLTV).
- Collaborate with IT, Institutional Research, and Enrollment to ensure data integrity, governance, and accessibility across systems.
- Oversee system implementations, vendor partnerships, and data contracts related to growth and marketing infrastructure.
- Analytics & Performance Optimization
- Establish advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, yield forecasting, and segmentation analysis.
- Deliver actionable insights to optimize campaign performance, channel investment, and market expansion.
- Develop data visualizations and reports for executive leadership, enabling real-time performance tracking and decision-making.
- Support development of business cases for new programs or markets using market intelligence and scenario modeling.
AI & Automation Innovation
- Drive responsible adoption of AI tools for personalization, forecasting, and automation in marketing and enrollment operations.
- Implement guardrails and ethical frameworks for data use and algorithmic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce cost-per-acquisition, and enhance student experience.
Collaboration & Culture of Learning
- Partner with Enrollment, Finance, Academic Affairs, and IT to create a data-informed culture across the institution.
- Train and mentor teams in data literacy, dashboard use, and performance analytics.
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement through transparent reporting and cross-functional alignment.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage budgets for analytics systems, technology tools, and personnel.
- Monitor return on technology investments and ensure alignment between resource allocation and institutional priorities.
Other Duties:

Direct Reports: Sr. Director Business Intelligence & Ops. Director.
Indirect Reports: Data Scientists and Analysts. Cross-functional analytics specialists, vendor teams, and consultants.
Contact Responsibility:
Internal: Works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Enrollment Management, Finance, Institutional Research, IT, Academic Affairs, and University leadership to align systems and insights with strategic objectives.
External: Interfaces with software vendors, data and analytics partners, and third-party service providers to ensure system reliability, security, and innovation.
Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements:
Work Location: Remote (U.S. Based).
Work Hours: Standard office hours; occasional evening or weekend work may be required for deadlines or executive meetings.
Travel: Occasional travel (10–15%) for leadership retreats, conferences, and team meetings.
Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a remote, home-based office setting with regular virtual collaboration. Work environment characteristics are consistent with those encountered in standard professional environments and may include prolonged periods of computer use.
