The Student Engagement & Operations Coordinator, under the general direction of the AVP of Student Engagement, provides administrative and strategic support services for the Admission and Operations team, serving as a liaison between students, staff, faculty of the University, and the external community. The incumbent must have strong abilities to organize and plan work. The Coordinator must handle multiple assignments and prioritize them in a constantly changing work environment, demonstrate ability to effectively problem-solve, and work independently operating within the perimeters of the priorities of workload and projects determined by Admissions and Operations leadership.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the wide range of administrative functions within admissions to support routine operations, which includes determining priorities, managing special projects, data entry, and arranging meetings.
  • Monitors the admissions office inbox and answers and forwards inquiries appropriately.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the student app with important events, deadlines, and reminders.
  • Oversees and manages student and staff materials on admissions shared and student advising shared point for training documents, student facing documents, and policies and procedures in partnership with management.
  • Assist with projects, events, and programs including but not limited to Alliant CONNECT peer mentoring, student ambassador program, social media admitted pages, open houses, and virtual recruitment events.
  • Create and maintain admissions operations process documentation and workflows.
  • Responsible for Salesforce record, report, and process auditing to ensure efficient and accurate admissions functionality.
  • Testing and evaluation support for Salesforce enhancements and upgrades.
  • Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Social Media.
  • General office skills including word-processing, organizational and prioritization, oral/written communication, detail orientation, with a high degree of integrity and discretion.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a "customer service" orientation and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse background
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team player

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience: Three (3) years experience in a customer service role, preferably in higher-education admissions environment. Working knowledge of customer service principles.
