Product Marketeer




AfterPay is looking for an experienced Product Marketeer to join the international marketing team in Amsterdam. In this role you will launch our new innovative products and services with the goal to obtain new customers and merchants.  You are dynamic by nature, have a passion to explore new opportunities and have a hunger for commercial success.  You will bring together different department of the organization while focusing on the customer every step of the way.  You will have a hands-on approach whilst keeping a view on the bigger strategic picture.  


You must love working with data and consumer insights, and be successful in developing these into strong, relevant and differentiated propositions in the market where the customer is king.  You will be an active part of the Marketing Team, developing and executing performance-driven digital marketing campaigns that drive our business.


In both the B2C and B2B spaces we engage with co-marketing initiatives with our partners. Be it developing campaigns with leading global brands like ASOS or collaborating with our internal colleges within Bertelsmann, like RTL and the Ad Alliance.   The possibilities are limitless.  

The Role

  • Develop, launch and grow your products through strong insights & marketing activities, all focused on serving our customers better, creating a seamless consumer experience and offering true benefits.  
  • Partner with the product team on product strategy and act as the voice of the customer to balance team vision with customer needs and requirements.
  • Manage qualitative and quantitative research and analysis around the market, competitors, and customers, synthesize actionable insights and present clear, data-driven recommendations to inform product and marketing strategy.
  • Translate technical details into Customer Value Propositions (positioning, naming and messaging) for users, customers, and prospects.
  • Develop Go to Market Channel Strategies, marketing materials and sales pitches for features across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns).  
  • Create and execute innovative strategies and launch plans to drive awareness, engagement, and product adoption.
  • Work with various teams (design, content, sales, product) to implement programs.
  • Be a digital expert, supporting the digital transformation within the organization.
  • Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback.


The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience with relevant experience in product management or product marketing with a technology company.  B2C & B2B.
  • Customer-centric and insights oriented, with deep understanding of the range and application of quantitative and qualitative marketing research approaches.
  • Experience with product launches.
  • Decision-making orientation around customer benefit/value.
  • Track record of successfully influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and collaborative personality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to switch regularly and rapidly between strategy and execution.
  • Meticulous and very detail-oriented.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent written and presentation skills & experience with growth marketing tools.
  • Curious and with a growth mindset.
  • Fluent in both English and Dutch; German is a plus.
