Merchant Support Specialist

As a Merchant Support Specialist, you are the first point of contact for all our merchants, i.e. the webshops that offer, or want to offer, AfterPay. It is your role to help merchants with questions ranging from technical issues to their customer’s questions about AfterPay, and everything in between. You don't need to have the answer to everything, but you know exactly which internal stakeholders you can find the right information or which person in our business can help. Want a chance to be a critical part of AfterPay’s expansion? Then read on! 

 

Your role and responsibilities 

  • Be the the first point of contact for our merchants;  
  • Answer all operational, technical and financial questions from our merchants or refer them to the appropriate internal team;

  • Assist with new merchant onboarding including answering questions from internal and external contacts; 

  • Identify, own and implement process improvements so our service to our merchants is continuously being improved. 

 

What kind of skills would make you successful in this role?

  • Excellent communications skills;   
  • Fluent in Dutch or German plus English  

  • Proactive and positive attitude; takes pride and ownership in your work; 

  • Able to work in a team or on your own initative, able to self-motivate while working from home;  

  • Strong analytic skills and insight into processes;  

  • Used to working in a client centric organisation and is solutions orientated;

  • Good understanding of Ecommerce/Epayments is essential, industry experienced is preferred;  

  • Quick thinker and ability to work across all areas of our business.
