Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a self-motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Director of Business Development to join our growing team! In this role, you will be able to leverage your experience, exceptional communication, industry knowledge & team skills to generate and acquire new business with new accounts and selected existing accounts. In addition, you will provide support to the regional and global sales teams worldwide in expanding sales of Arvato in Europe and the US in the IT, Hi-Tech and Consumer Electronics industry; with a focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Your Tasks

  • The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of logistics, warehousing, fulfillment and order-to-cash supply chain management (SCM), detailed knowledge of the target industries (IT, Hi-Tech and Consumer Electronics) and an active network to key decision makers.
  • Generate new business in target markets with primary focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
  • Work with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Design and Logistics Engineering on creation of competitive concept proposals and develop new service offerings based on detailed and documented insight of market and client needs.
  • Manage and maintain a structured analysis of target markets & clients and documentation in CRM system. Particularly for selected large target accounts, manage and maintain detailed global account plans and coordinate international sales activities (between EU, US, AP).
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to the Global and Regional teams on market & industry developments and competitors’ developments.
  • Identify, analyze and compare alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies and present feasibility plans to the VP Global Business Development and Management.
  • Travel Requirements: 60-80% of the time.

Your Profile

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in solution selling & new business development in the logistics / supply chain management industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with specialized qualifications or experience in Supply Chain Management related disciplines preferred.
  • Ability to Commute or Relocate/Location Address​​​​​​​Remote work with travel required.
